Our manufacturing client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: discussed on application

Location: Near Dartford – car driver required

Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1700

Industry: Fabrication and sheet metal

Mechanical Design Engineer duties will include

* Working on detail designs and developing manufacturing drawings.

* Liaising with various teams within the company

* Modify and up-issue existing drawings.

* Compiling design documentation.

* Creating a BOM

* Occasional site visits will be required

Mechanical Design Engineer role and responsibilities:

* Initially working alongside an experienced design engineer, understanding and support with the creation and preparation of engineering drawings.

* Attend and participate in internal and external project meetings,

* A knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques would be an additional advantage

* 2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and models would be beneficial.

* Experience of core Microsoft office applications i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word etc essential.

Mechanical Design Engineer Personal Requirements

* Relevant Qualifications i.e., Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

* Previous experience within a design office environment, with experience in mechanical engineering design.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Ability to understand/produce detailed technical drawings, with a willingness to learn.

* Strong attention to detail
