Senior Electrical Engineer

Altera Recruitment Group is partnered with a fast-growing clean technology business developing next generation solutions to decarbonise industrial heat. This organisation operates at the intersection of power, energy storage, and industrial engineering, with technology designed to convert renewable electricity into reliable, on demand heat for large scale applications.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will act as the internal authority for electrical engineering, supporting both product development and customer projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, this individual will define electrical strategies, drive design decisions, and ensure systems are safe, compliant, and fit for industrial deployment.

The Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer include:

* Act as the internal technical lead for all electrical engineering activities across products and customer projects

* Define and deliver electrical architectures, designs, and power strategies for high power industrial systems

* Own and maintain core electrical documentation, ensuring accuracy and usability across teams

* Manage and coordinate external electrical subcontractors and specialist partners

* Work closely with mechanical, process, and site teams to ensure successful system integration

Requirements

* Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience

* Proven experience owning system level electrical designs within industrial or product led environments

* Strong knowledge of industrial power systems at 400V and 690V within the 1 to 5MW range

* Experience supporting projects from design through installation and commissioning

* Confident communicator able to engage effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders
