Systems Design Engineer, £45K - £50k, Surrey (Hybrid Flexibility)

* £45,000 – £50,000 salary guide + bonus + pension + 25 days holiday + private healthcare & more.

* Working hours 08:30am -17:30pm. Hybrid flexibility available (3 days in office, 2 days home).

Are you an experienced Design Engineer with electrical design and mechanical design skills? Do you have experience producing high-quality CAD drawings to highly regulated industry standards?

Your background as a Systems Design Engineer:

* HND/HNC, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification

* 5 years + experience in electrical / systems design.

* Ideally some exposure and understanding of mechanical / electromechanical design.

* Knowledge of BS7671, BS8888:2017 and EU directives would be advantageous.

* Proficient in AutoCAD; Electrical CAD software (e.g. SEE Electrical/ETAP).

* Able to produce accurate 2D/3D drawings, including STEP files

* Eligible for, or able to achieve, SC Security Clearance

Systems Design Engineer responsibilities:

* Produce electrical and occasionally mechanical drawings to support projects and manufacturing.

* Develop design concepts from first principles, ensuring compliance with robust industry standards.

* Collaborate with project and engineering teams to deliver high-quality CAD outputs

* Support with software selection and best practice in CAD tools

This Systems Design Engineer role is commutable from Redhill, Crawley, Epson, Croydon, Sevenoaks, Surrey and surrounding areas.
