Senior Architectural Technician Location: Bedford Salary: £40-45,000 A well respected, multidisciplinary architectural practice in Bedford is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its expanding team. The practice has an excellent reputation for delivering thoughtfully designed, high quality projects across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed use developments. Private healthcare after three years of serviceKey Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive technical drawings and construction packages from initial design stages through to project completion
Assist with the preparation of planning applications and Building Regulations documentation
Work closely with external consultants, contractors, and internal design teams to support smooth project coordination
Attend site visits and provide technical support throughout the construction process
Ensure all drawings and documentation meet current UK Building Regulations and industry standards
Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to junior members of the technical team
Support internal quality assurance procedures and maintain well organised project informationSkills and Experience Qualification in Architectural Technology or a similar construction related discipline
Solid background in producing technical information within a UK based architectural environment
Competent user of Revit and AutoCAD, with experience of BIM processes being an advantage
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, and technical detailing
Previous involvement in residential and or commercial sector projects
Clear and confident communication skills with strong attention to detail
